Advanced Geospatial Analysis

We generate accurate, high resolution planimetric maps and digital elevation models (DEMs) of rivers using advanced geospatial techniques. River attributes are extracted from imagery obtained from optical sensors mounted on unipods, balloons, helicopters, aircraft and satellites. River attributes can include channel and floodplain morphometry, bathymetry, bed roughness, woody debris metrics, and riparian vegetation characteristics.

These data help our clients complete cost-effective inventories of riverine features, improve the performance of numerical models, quantify rates of channel adjustment to past disturbance, and allow quantitative prediction of future channel changes.
